Stopping the Rise of the Far Right in Europe

The Labour Movement for Europe will hold a briefing with Laszlo Andor, former Hungarian MEP, Baroness Anderson and Joe Mulhall, Research Director of Hope Not Hate on the threat the far right poses to social justice and peace. This event will take place on Tuesday 6th February at 5:30pm via Zoom and is open to members of the LME only. Join us to take part!

Here are a couple of videos featuring Joe Mulhall, who discusses how the rise of the far-right could impact the upcoming European Parliament elections. Mulhall emphasises that the far-right phenomenon extends beyond mainland Europe and is also visible in UK politics. One significant consequence of this trend may be the proliferation of illiberal democracies, with Hungary serving as a prominent example.
